This regulation size high school gymnasium is conventionally built of masonry and steel with particular attention to sound control. The load bearing masonry walls include bands of perforated "sound block" with sound absorbing acoustic fill. The steel roof deck is exposed and painted, and it also has perforations and acoustical fill within it. Decorative acoustic "tectum" panels were surface applied throughout, complimenting the interior design.
