The Raphael Hotel is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel located on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Initially constructed in 1927 as the Villa Serena Apartments, the building was transformed into the Raphael Hotel in 1975 with a renovation that faithfully preserved historically significant features while providing for the needs of contemporary travelers. In 2007, the owners decided that it was time for another transformation. Because of our extensive experience with historic renovations, A.L. Huber was selected as the General Contractor for this project. This project consisted of 9 phases of renovations while the hotel was still operating. The hotel was named Top 500 Hotels in Travel & Leisure. Check out the additional features of the project below.
Project Features:
- Remodel of the hotel lobby, guestrooms, and courtyard
- Additions of corporate meetings and board rooms
- New Fitness Center
- Renovation of the renowned restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza
- All work was completed while the hotel was fully operational
