We recently had a topping off ceremony for the St. Rosalia Community Center. “This new building will house a fully licensed early childhood center consisting of classrooms for preschool, first and second grade. Also included in the 16,000-square-foot area is a gym, paired with a stage, that can host athletic events, musical performances, receptions, and other community gatherings. Additionally, there is a specifically designed storm shelter that can withstand 250 mile-per-hour winds. This is the first storm shelter of its caliber in a small school in Kansas City. “
